Birds :

As specialists in birds, (Alan the owner of Mill Lane Pet Centre having kept and exhibited birds for over 30 years), we always have a good selection of birds ranging from canaries, finches, quail, budgies, parakeets and parrots,  far more than an average pet shop.

We have a purpose built bird room which is well lit with plenty of natural daylight with over 70 modern cages normally stocked with birds.  In addition to the indoor bird room we also have numerous outdoor flights stocking birds such as Rosellas, Lovebirds, Cockatiels, Budgerigars and Parrots.

The shop has everything for the serious exhibitor and breeder to the hobbyist just starting. Cages, feeders and drinkers, perches, nesting material and boxes plus all the supplements, medicines and feed you will need all year through.

We will advice you on what birds are contented to mix together and what is right for you and your environment plus all the necessary equipment and feed you will need all year through especially at breeding season.  We are stockists of Verselaga and Harrisons seeds we not only sell the mixed blends of seed but also straights and eggfood, handrearing mixes and nectar.  We only feed the best so only sell the best!

Finches and canaries are always popular normally stocked. Canaries such as Border, Fife and Yorkshire are normally available plus many more.  Zebra Finches & Bengalese are favourites but we also sell numerous other finches such as Java Sparrows and Spicebirds and colour mutations of many species.

Also always popular are the Quail helping to keep aviary floors clean, mostly we sell Chinese and Japanese Quail.

Parakeets can be aggressive so staff are available to advice you on which species will happily integrate.

Over the years we have established customers from all over the country and supplied some Zoological gardens including Linton Zoo and Leeds Castle.
